THE WIZARD OF OZ

A second round of open auditions for the October 2026 production of The Wizard of Oz will be held Sunday, July 12th by appointment only at the Norfleet Gallery next door to the Star Theater on Main Street Russell Springs, KY.

**This round of auditions are for those 18 and older ONLY. Those under 18 will not be auditioned.**

Those who auditioned previously do not need to audition again.

Those auditioning will be participating in a cold read from the script and should come prepared to sing a song from the 1939 classic movie. No music will be provided.

Please note the available roles below. Some roles may be doubled and ensemble will be playing multiple roles. Not all who audition are guaranteed a role.

Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Glinda, Wizard/Professor Marvel, Uncle Henry, Auntie Em, Zeke, Hunk, Hickory, Nikko 

Ensemble (Munchkins, Crows, Trees, Poppies, Ozians, Flying Monkeys, Winkies, Jitterbugs)  

Understudies will be cast for the following roles (if enough interest): Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Wicked Witch/Miss Gulch, Glinda, Wizard/Professor Marvel

All who are cast are expected to adhere to a strict attendance policy. Rehearsal schedules will be available at auditions.
